a nice vignette to isolate the flowers from their less than attractive background (chain link fence)
youve made such good use of these pretty elements
great little details in the obliquely lit drops of water
Agree with Klas, superb lighting and an absolutely beautiful and touching capture...thank you Mimi...a lovely gesture as well...good job my friend.:Pat.
Beautiful ... Mimi you captured these lovely roses in the most perfect lighting & brought out the softness of the petals so nicely. Very well done & thank you.

Visitors are always welcome at MY GALLERY! So if you feel like it, leave a comment! Thanks!
Mimi, this is just lovely! The clarity on the roses along with the lighting and the water droplets is wonderful and the darkened background is superb! Did you darken the background in the computer or was this handled in the camera? Thanks, this is so nice!
Soft quiet and beautiful Mimi. Your lighting is magnficiant on these and the clarity and color are stunning. What a sight to behold. Thanks for sharing this today.
Can't always give individual thanks but I am so appreciative of everyone's comments and input. I truly enjoy seeing all of your posts and am always happy to see you at My Gallery. Thanks, Anita
For me? Why thank you! Lol! Seriously now, this shot is great, I especially like the contrast of the bright roses and the dark background. Thanks for sharing it!
Wow ! has this image worked out allright or what ! beautifull focused, shading to the edge, and tiny water droplets to top it all of, well done Mimi, thank you for sharing and posting the image !
Picture Purrrfect .
A purrrfect world is what we all want, but, seems too unobtainable. If I've viewed and commented on your post, and you liked my remarks then NO THANKS is needed...just getting to see your wonderful work is thanks enough for me!!
Also BIG thanks to all who check out my work!! I appreciate any and all comments & feedback!!
Mimi, you know I couldn't possibly say anything more than what all your friends here on Caedes have said before me. I love it, of course, and for all the reasons stated above as to clarity and especially color, and the composition, but I did want to add that although the chain fence in the back has been addressed, I'd like to say that in a strange way it adds to the presentation. It's a very interesting study in contrasts to the light placement and delicate flavor the flowers bring with the marvelous lighting you've used, and I can't guess how you did all this :) and I know I've been on the bandwagon lately with contrasts, but if I had to pick one that shows exactly what i've been thinking about it would have to be this. That chain and the darkness of it, and, yes, the very fact that you left it in to be seen, as I'm sure you could have tweaked your camera in a way that would have minimized it even more, creates a tension between your subjects that enhances the ambience they embue...lovely Mimi, :)PJ
Hi Mimi, the beauty of these remarkable specimens is very difficult for me to describe in the usual way that I do, for a variety of reasons! Each rose in it's delicate soft pink is opening, spreading out from it's own furled state! Each is unfurlling in it's own timing, and so granting us the various phases of growh sequentially, to view and to enjoy, just beautiful!!!! The lighting is masterfully done! You have become an expert at light reading, one of the most important ingredients of good photography! Into my favorites! Good job, Sincerely, Marilyn
What a lovely delicate and captivating image. Simply a marvelous gift. Apparently everyone has commented on the lighting which is superb. The only disappointment I see is the C-Index number ... it's worthy of a much higher number. I'm sorry I never saw this in the voting booth ... 10 would have seemed the perfect score for such a perfect gift as this.
Had to muscle my way in past the crowds for this exhibit. :o)
The 'mood' and 'feel' are the ... first and foremost ... emotive elements that impact me upon viewing this visual offering of yours.
Such a kind and thoughtful gift to the membership ... I think I am heartened to know that our beloved site is a refuge of sorts to many of us. And this is a very poignant reminder for me, personally, of that soft spot in which I have chosen to 'fall.'
It really is a lovely image. The lighting, as noted in some of the above comments, does indeed set the stage for the star model in your image here. It is a perfect blend of muted and seemingly natural light to showcase the subtle hues and tones of the colour of this gorgeous rose.
Hi Mimi. I ran across this image in someone else’s' favorites gallery and just had to take a closer look. I really am glad I did. This one goes into my Favorites and onto my work computer for the rest of this week.
Everything about this image says perfection.
Normaly I am not that 'flowerman' but you (and Roseman Stan also) let me smile with a flower picture :) Love the natural colors here. Thanks for sharing!
