Taken on 1-13-07 during the first round of the ice storm. Shot with hubby's new Olympus Stylus 740 all weather camera :)...good thing too as the freezing rain was beating down on me as I attempted a picture. The lighting was horrid and the fog was bad, but we still didn't get hit as hard as other areas in Missouri as well as Oklahoma. Thanks for viewing.;=) All critiques welcomed here

This is very cool Mimi, glad you were able to get this, it was too foggy here in Wright city for any pics, I do have one of my frozen bird house I may post. Stay warm my friend.

Could spell treacherous driving conditions. That's what it reminds me of. You guys are getting all the yucky weather and we have had mild conditions in NE since fall.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Hi Mimi, how's my girl? This is a terrific photo, as it tells it just the way it is! The ice is so pretty, and yet seems treturous at times, mysterious at others, and just plain beautiful, at others! I also love the various shades of greys, and flavored with a little green grass, for added interest! The elements all blend well to produce a well composed seasonal photo! However, we would be well advised (smiling), to keep that gorgeous spring show, that is just up the road, well in our minds and hearts! These happy thoughts of Spring will help to bring that wonderful season of color closer!! Nice photo Mimi, very nice, Sincerely, Marilyn

What a cool shot...I love that the weather has cooled down with all the fire and burn bans of the summer, but this ice as already worn out it's welcome. We have more coming here in Oklahoma this weekend. Your picture looks like every tree we have here right now...Great shot!

Looks familiar! I had to make a trip to Tulsa, Ok over the weekend and I got to see a lot of this stuff. I didn't stay long enough to take any photos though. I hope you survived this winter blast without any problems. Good capture.
