Hey Mimi,
I like the effect,
I love the detail in the orchid,
I would try to get the water effect a little lower, but that is just my opinion,
Very crisp colors, I enjoy the pink shine in the water,

Thanks for sharing

Hi Mimi, this is brilliant in it's presentation, absolutely brilliant! This image would win all the blue ribbons, offered anywhere, any time, any place! As Pat said before me, this is truly another example of my favorite 'Rose-Scented Bath! It has all the marvelous features of your beautiful roses, when blended with water that we can imagine! An image with class and dignity which signifies your wonderful work! I really like it Mimi, Sincerely, Marilyn

Very attractive Mimi... All you need now is a Venus standing among the petals. A-la "Venus in a Half Shell". :o)

I think there IS a venus there, and it's simply the inside of that gorgeous orchid. Lovely work, Mimi, as has been said, and I also echo the sentiment that it's nice to see you posting again.

The orchid is so beautiful, Mimi. I guess I'm in a minority of one when I say I'd like to see it without the manipulation. The detail that we see is just so sharp against the dark background, that I'd love to see it in it's entirety.

What a gorgeous presentation Mimi! This elegant Orchid has class. Marvelous details of this bloom and lovely colours. The pink reflection enhances this wavy water. It looks like the inner part of the Orchid is going to dive in! Finely shown against the black velvety background. Thanks for this lush flower :)

I'm very far behind in my comments due to some recent family issues so please forgive this generic comment. I have viewed this image and found it to be very good. I didn't want to pass it by with out mentioning it's beauty. Thank you for sharing it with us. You have created a very beautiful image and I envy your talent. I hope to view more of your work and give a more personal comment in the near future. Your images are awsome. I love this style.

Nicely done Mimi! This beutiful orchid reminds me of a duck as it flaps across the pond. Almost perfect exposure (just a teensy bit hot on the uppermost petal) with wonderful color saturation and clarity. The black background adds superb dimension and makes that lovely bloom pop right off the screen. The reflection makes the whole image lyrical. Wow. anne :-)

For being an eleven-year-old submission, Meems, this manip still holds up very well in contrast to the much larger DSLR's available now, in 2018. Your original photo is very crisp, the colors are brilliant, and the reflection is about 98 percent perfection (the 2 percent is because it doesn't entirely conform to the shape on the distant far left edge--there's white reflection all the way to the "horizon" but the petal there is quite high... what can I say, I'm a perfectionist).
