We took a trip to the country and I was captivated by this lush, overgrown road. It seemed a bit mysterious, yet I was lured by it's beauty to walk down it....alone!!! Where did I end up? Well, nowhere of course ;=) Critiques are welcomed here. I was playing with all my camera settings that day.

Every journey begins with the first step...personally, I like the shadows on this as the road draws you into the photo...very nicely done!

You've definitely captured the lushness of the area. This is the kind of shot that almost anyone can relate to...I know I can imagine a place nearby that's like this. How about trying this shot in B&W? It might be because I'm a sucker for B&W images, but it could add a sense of mystery to the scene...just a thought...Great shot!!

I just love the dappled light coming through the lush overhang of branches. What a beautiful day for a walk and this road is certainly inviting. Very fine image, Mimi, a perfect summer's day!

Well ... as a fan of one of Mother Natures' creations ... trees, in particular ... your visual offering here hooked and reeled me in a for closer look. :o)

Nicely composed Mimi.

The road is a wonderful leading line, and leads offset center into the background to kick up the visual interest. Well done on that aspect.

I suspect that your unerring eyes already know the minor shortcomings of your image ... so, I won't repeat them here.

However ... if a revisit is possible, would love to see a more refined take on this setting. As it makes for a very pleasant desktop in my eyes. Inviting, lush indeed ... nice depth ... and fulllll of my fav colour and specimens from 'Mom'.

Thanks for sharing this one ... I happen to like it quite a bit. :o)

This is my kind of shot. Take me there, please! I hate city life and live in the middle of a big city. So I love to escape in images like this. I just want to get on that road and never look back - see my but way up there in the distance? No oh, well, I digress. Anyway, the color sat and sharpness are great. What I do with mid-day shots that have deep shadows and bright highlights is either use a polarizing filter or do a layer comp in photoshop to tone down the bright spots. When I have a minute, I send you a PM with some ideas you can try. anne :-)

I've been absent from my friends at Caedes for awhile. Have been busy shooting, writing, learning, and mostly being humbled. I'm back and I look forward to viewing and sharing again. Blessings, anne :-)
