We are in the midst of record flooding from the Meramec River. What you are viewing is Interstate 44 (in the background) and the water is what used to be State Route 141. The Interstate is expected to be under water by tomorrow morning (3-22). History recorded here by Hubby's Pentax K100D.

Looks like it would have made a good contest entry Mimi. Trouble is it's no laughing matter. Is this going to be like 1993? I hope people use their heads and don't try to get through some of these places. Good timely photo and we do need journalistic gallery. Happy Easter and stay safe. Looks like your son might be busy this weekend.

I heard about the devastating flooding in your area Mimi. I went through the same thing last August due to receiving 24+ inches of rain in less than 12 hours. Individuals are still coping with their losses.

Excellent capture of nature's wrath & the damage it causes. You & your family stay safe.

There's been flooding where I live, but nothing ever to this extent. Very good commentary and would be comical only it's real and affecting the the lives of many. A very good photo, Mimi.

Ok, I have found the image you wanted me to see and oh my, I forgot you were in MO. Do hope you are OK. Oh yes, I been here. Traveled thu this area many years ago when they was another huge flood(late 90's?). I would like to see another pic when the interstate gets covered over. Also, I thought you were on my "Friends List". For some reason, you isn't. I will change that. Found your self portrait in your gallery. You been foolin everyone with that Grandma icon you were using, you snake in the grass.
