This is drawn on a canyon wall off of Topanga Canyon Rd in California. There is a slight pull-off area with cars roaring by on great curves. Apparently this illustration has been here for quite some time. The detail was amazing when I saw it. The sun was beginning to set below the canyon wall when I shot this, hence the shadows. The available space for the ability to maneuver around to shoot this was incredibly small. One of my most challenging images to date. Critiques are welcomed here :~)

The photo is even better knowing it is a drawing on a canyon wall Mimi. Funny what lies just beyond screeching tires and gas vapors. Talk about not stopping and smelling the roses. They most likely run over them. Leave it to a girl from Missouri to discover the beauty just off a speeding highway. Very nice.

I'm not going to critique this because I can't see that it could be and from the situation it seems you got a great shot of it. I will say that it is quite a beautiful painting and it makes me feel very peaceful. The image is very sharp and I am so glad you posted it for our enjoyment.

What a magnificent find Mimi, I truly think this is beautiful and have to agree with Tick on locating such a find when your least expecting it. Whoever drew this is really a fabulous artist

Very magical and quite beautiful. I "ditto" what ::0930_23 (Tick) said about the roses. Good job.

The shadows only add to the beauty of the original art. A wonderfully different image, Mimi. I think it could use a slight tilt to the left to straighten, but that is such a minor adjustment. Thanks for sharing this one!

The detail in your photo is amazing as well. It does have a slight tilt, I thought it was just me until I read the comment above. This is a good find, my eye is drawn to the blue globe. Very well photographed mimi.

Mimi ... I caught this one in new images a few weeks ago & meant to leave a comment. So here I am ... finally.

I find this drawing fascinating. The fine detail outlined in B & W along with the bit of color is pleasing to my eyes. The reflections or shadows of the trees give the image an added dimension. I also notice the slight tilt to the right, but doesn't distract much from the beauty I'm seeing. With the limited room you had to work with I'd say you did a mighty fine job & the detail is quite amazing.

A wonderful capture Mimi & thank you for sharing this one. Off to my faves it goes as well as on my DT.
