Sometimes we all need that time alone for quiet reflection. This was taken in an Abbey in Oregon. Everything was so beautiful and peaceful there that it wasn't a bit hard to quiet my mind...........Enjoy :~)

Beautiful lighting and the warm brown tones add to the serenity. Nicely shot, Mimi.

Reflective and serene. I like how the light hits the back of the pews. I also like the triple windows making a strong background for the silhouette.

A difficult shot, but you mastered it very well!
Personally I think that the person in the picture should have been more distanced (unrecognisable). He (or she) is drawing too much attention. And attention should be reserved sololy for the high windows and the wonderful light.

I love the colors, light, and warmth of the picture. It is incredible. But that person in the photo completely takes away from the simple beauty. Other than that, beautiful picture :)

Excellent light, palette and composition, I'd 86 the knee far right, though.

Hello Mimi....The elegant simplicity of this image has really paid off...I love the light the texture and the intrigue of the person....It is such a gentle image because of the tremendous job you have done with the colours and toning and I like the strong shadows....There is a great heart in this wonderful image...Top marks from me..."ITS A WINNER"....All the best....Mick..

In looking through your gallery, this beautiful image caught my eye. The lighting is subdued but has a warm glow. The pale yellow of the windows is calming - and the darkened man adds the human touch. Thank you Mimi, for this quiet view~

Wonderful light, gorgeous architecture in the structure of the stained glass windows, warm and soulful colours ... nice.

Compositionally, very well-balanced.

The list could extend to other technical elements that comprise a great shot ... suffice to say ... you have captured the very essence of the meaning to the title of this image in my mind. Superbly.

Another great addition to the 'editorial' section of your work. :o)
