This was taken in Port Angeles, Washington. It is on the Strait of Juan De Fuca. We had crossed the Puget Sound via ferry & were headed to the Pacific Ocean. The water was really this blue. The artist had put other 'birds' on the pilings, but this is the one I enjoyed the most. *note the other smaller bird on it's back*. We loved everything aobut this area except that we didn't live there! Comments/critiques welcomed. Thank you :~)

I really like this shot. The only suggestion I have is that you could have had a bit more space on the left side and a little bit less on the right. The water on the right side is a negative space that calls for a bit too much attention in the composition. I'm not really distracted or anything, but I feel it might make the image more balanced. Did you put it though some filter? Looks "smoother", or how to put it. then I would have expected straight from the camera. (Maybe you have some funky settings on yours I have no clue about. ^_^)

Great image! Like the bird and the reflection of the pillings in the water. Well done!

I'm with Fred, not only is the bird sculpture really neat, the reflection and colors are great. Nice job, Mimi!

Well done. Find the reflexions in the water to have a nice smooth transition. Agree somewhat with the comments by Klas but also feel that this would have centered your focus a little to much. Such a fine balance, this thing we call art.

My eye went straight to the birdie on the back. From there I enjoy the rest of this unique treat. The water is in wonderful contrast to the pilings and the reflections are pretty too. The clarity and lighting is also a pleasure to view.

Hi Mimi, my this image is so clear, I feel like I want to dive in! A beautiful photo, and done so well as always! You have captured a scene that makes me want to be in that place NOW! I am glad you enjoyed the beauty of the area! It is breathtaking or as Mimi would say drop dead gorgeous!!!! Quite the artist you are indeed! Sincerely, Marilyn

I really like this one Mimi!
You had a sharp eye on the right moment.
Maybe a little more space to the left or right to increase the idea of a forest of poles (without knowing where the border is). Otherwise marvallous!

I want that standing in my pond! I love the natural gradient of the water and the colors and water lines on the weathered poles.Something about it says serene and old at the same time.
