How original, very unique indeed! I love the colors and shades of grey. This is such an awesome yet calming photo thank you so much for sharing, I love it.
Despite your reservations about your own abilities, this is a very well executed shot indeed. A good balance of light, colour and composition make for an aesthetically very pleasing shot. Well done.
It's a very pleasing image. You've composed it well, with a fairly close rule of thirds, both foreground and background are interesting and the lone subject makes this powerful. The more photos you take, the more confident you'll become but your skill is already there. - Patty
Beautiful things happen randomly at a certain time and place, you can't run after them but can catch them while they pass by you... need sensibility and a good eye.. Great shot mirto56! I guess it runs in the family ...:)
Wonderful! From the thumbnail I first thought this was a manip and was intrigued. This is a great shot, unique and serene at the same time, and I wouldn't worry about your talent. But I understand your doubts, all artist have them. Beautiful work. :)
I think, if you duplicate the image and overlay it; it would gain a little more contrast and a pleasing tone. This way you will increase the dramatic feeling of it... This would make already a good picture, even better...
Hello Doug....What a lovely shot of a person walking through the water...Its not every day that one has the chance of capturing a scene like this...you have made me quite jealous....Top marks...Well done...All the best....Mick.

A well taken picture, capturing serenity and vastness, you could have decreased your shutter speed ( if this was not spur of the moment)allowing more light to be absorbed probably giving more cloud detail reflecting on the water. But hey, what do I know?
Well done
Not a skilled photographer... ? I've been shooting photos seriously for over 30 years and I still expect to take 50 shots to get one photograph. Your photo of the lone fisherman has the quality I saw each month in Life magazine when I was young (driving me toward photography ever since). Those people knew how to suck the marrow out of their subjects and I bet they had plenty of stinkers like I do. Every so often I get lucky and all the elements fall into place and I walk away with a winner. This one's a winner. The simplicity of his strong silhouette and the surf line behind him contrast beautifully with all the subtleties of the gray sand, water and clouds. And there's just enough warmth in the sky above the horizon to give it all the dimension it needs. Beautiful. Ethereal. Honest. True to life. No glitz. I'm jealous. -Nik

WOW! This is even better than the Solitude image! You may not refer to yourself as skilled, but your skills took a giant leap forward with this amazing capture. Sensational work, Doug.
