This is another photo from my visit to the Carnival in Venice on Friday. The selective focus is rather new to me so I'd like to know if it works or not in this photo. As always, thank you for looking and your comments.
I think your doing great at these my friend, selective focus is working very well. These are some very stunning images, showing so much detail. Faved!! Tigs♥ =^..^=
Wow Wow Wow!! - these carnival shots are incredibly beautiful and the detail you're getting is extraordinary - thank you for sharing an experience with us that I'm sure I'll never have.
Need to know your intentions re selective focus. Your depth of field is too shallow to get full sharpness on both heads, as just the left side of his face is acceptably sharp. You'd need at least one full f/stop smaller (larger number), and possibly two, to have both heads fully sharp, depending on what focal length lens you were using. The longer the lens focal length, the smaller the lens aperture needs to be. Conversely the smaller that aperture, the slower the shutter speed will be, so you have to pay attention to what the camera is setting. Too slow a shutter speed and everything will be fuzzy from camera movement. Don't count on the camera's Image Stabilization feature. It's a help, but not a Save All.
Wow this is another outstanding looking capture and the colours are so rich and natural, plus lovely sharp detail .Also I love the there face masks and this photo looks like you have stepped back in time.
This Image GRABBED my EYE. That's Why I Stopped By. Thanks For Sharing ! Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience
for that detail design you captured so well in the foreground mask? that alone makes this a great shot! with that one exception that snapshooter mentioned, maybe more blur emphasize on the one background mask would've made an awesome look? of course getting them both in focus would have been over the top! just for the detail of her face alone makes this one my second fav out of this series. hell idk why im even commenting doug. i sure couldnt have done better behind the camera. i suppose im just stating what my eyes see. in editing however you can make the first option i mentioned possible. i dont thing the latter of them is though with her face so clear in detail. rework it with some more shallow DOF to blur him a bit more just focusing on her & see what happens. regardless, this sure was a treat to view, also a big thanks for sharing it with us. ( big thumbs up)
