I came across this barn while driving around the countryside in northern Connecticut on my recent trip to the U.S. I was undecided whether to post in color or B/W, as they are both appealing. Learning of a shortage of entries into the challenge for this week..well..I went with the B/W. Thanks for looking and leaving a comment.

Love the detailed lines in that 'barn'!..

I also like that you didn't include the whole building..gives us a little tease to see more

Good image in B/W Doug. I think he B/W makes the barn look older. Nice find and capture.

I like to agree with Bob, because he said it so well Doug.

If this is an entry for the B&W challenge, think you have to place it in the appropriate gallery. If so, it's a very good one my friend!

Regards, Cornelius.

This turned out so well in B&W Doug and I'm sure the color one is equally as good but the tones in this version are exceptional.

I think this is an Excellent entry for the Challenge. Super capture and composition. Maybe on day down the line you could post the coloured one

Yes, I believe there are two methods for good effect in monochrome - one involves complete simplicity while the other just the opposite allows the freedom of lines, shadows, lights & shapes.
This one is the simple manner and your choice is good.

Nice work making it in black and white, I like the flag on the door. To me the barn has a little bit of color, which I like. Makes it look older still.
