I spent the long Memorial Day weekend touring the Chianti region of Tuscany. Three days of rain didn't prevent me from getting out and shooting a few images. The scenery, rain or shine, is simply beautiful and something to add to your bucket list. The wine wasn't too bad, either! As always, thank you for looking and leaving a comment.

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

I have been in quite a few ports in Italy but never in such areas as this Doug. A very beautiful panoramic view with all the different shades of green.

Even in the rain, Tuscany is still beautiful - is there anything to rent in Tuscany (Seinfeld episode) - Great Capture Doug!!!

I had to laugh at Laura's comment - excellent capture Doug despite the rain which was also the story of our Memorial day weekend and this weekend too. Glad to know we were not alone!

Not so long ago when I used to imbibe, wine was my favourite drink, so I can say ditto under all the comments dealing with wine production !
As to the beauty of the landscape, it leaves one speechless in most cases. This is such case.

A wonderful view....And the downcast days didn't hamper your results here!....I much prefer a Rose' wine...or a good old Malt.....(But they don't grow that there eh!)...lol

Without rain, no lush green, grapes and wine, Doug. No complaints from your side however, as I see by your narrative that you've undergone this 'disadvantage' as a hero. I've read too that I already got your reward (a good glass of wine, lol).
Thanks for this good and 'refreshing' capture my friend.

Could be a sequel to the original Under The Tuscan Sun. ....I made it to Assisi back in 1995, so I guess I was close. I would definitely go back to see more of Italy! (although I did see Rome) Beautiful capture, Doug.

Are these young grapes Doug - I always see the arbors bigger and these seem very close to the ground still. Nice shot - I especially like the lines on that field in the distance.
