I revisited Lake Barcis, one of my favorite mountain lakes near my home last weekend. I was up there for sunrise and the stillness on the water offered some nice reflections. I've started to use this fancy tripod I recently purchased and a remote shutter trigger. As always, thank you for looking and leaving a comment.

Peaceful and beautiful Doug. The colours are lovely and the reflection the same. Supershot with tripod and trigger switch. I hate to carry mine.

I should use a tripod more often...but I just don't like carrying much equipment around when I am tramping across wild terrain!..

I love this one..so still and a great presentation of tranquility

I got a tripod for Xmas a couple of years ago and it's mostly in the trunk - I do set it up in the living room during the winter to catch the birds and squirrels not to mention the snow squalls! This is truly lovely Doug - I like the DOF and all the different layers of blues.

Peaceful and wonderful capture of Lago di Barcis, enhanced by mirror-like reflections. If I call these reflections 'the cherry on the cake', than the distant cloud is the whipped cream on that. Excellent work Doug.

This is certainly a stunning scenic photograph with the water reflections, low valley clouds, sun-kissed peaks and dramatic sky. Bravo, a fine image and a joy to view.

Beautiful early morning scene and colors Doug - love the stillness of the water and the low laying cloud/fog in the distance - nicely done - recently I have been using a monopod - didn't think that I would like it and I do!!!! It's lightweight attaches to the camera quickly and I find it not to be as cumbersome as a tripod.
