I particularly enjoy finding a unique angle on buildings - well on just about anything - and trying to see it in a unique way. This is a detail from the front gate entrance of Holyrood Palace in Edinburgh, Scotland (one of the Queen's residences). I'll post the original color version of this soon.

I am so glad this came up as a comment request or I may have missed it. I am of the same opinion about finding a unique angle on buildings, and looking at them in a unique way. Furthermore, my last 2 posts have been shots looking up at buildings, and shooting in B&W too! They say great minds think alike! Well done, a great photo.

Hello Leigh-Anne.....Your study of the columns emphasises the sheer size and dominance it has in the frame..The mono effect really suits the subject and gives it a moody atmosphere....Well done....All the best to you Leigh-Anne.............................Mick.
