I like it. I disagree about the ground.I think it's the perfect choice because it doesn't take away from the main subject and the "platinumish" sands contrast but yet compliment the genle like pinks. I also like the mixture of moods between the ground and the sky as if something amazing is about to happen in a bleak world. You don't know if it's sweet or sinister but you know it's coming. Excellent work Eric!
