That's one chapel I'd like to be inside! This is smashing. the lights, the design...

Reminds me of the Holy Fire that comes out of the Tomb of Christ at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem every Easter; it dances around the ceiling like this and zaps in and out amongst the columns; and flares up into fireballs; and lights peoples candles...

Great job Russell, I think you're right and the next big one they build they might just have you paint the ceiling Oh boy huh ?? LOL Very nice buddy and design/colour are exceptional.

Really excellent design. It has simple lines and structure, but a wealth of intricate detail which compliments the structure rather than overwhelming it.

I must have been underexposed to chapels, though - or overexposed to the wrong ones, maybe - because this reminds me of a library ceiling. Specifically, it reminds me of the ceiling of one of the great round reading rooms you find in some places. The Bodleian in Oxford has one and so does the Library of Congress in D.C. Both are impressive. In some ways the latter is grander, though I tend to prefer the former as it seems more intimate. Could also be just that I've been nearer the ceiling of that one, though!

In any case, the image is fantastic even if it isn't of a library!

wow. perfect gradient. I'm thinking Hagia Sofia, or some basilica in St. Petersburg, where I was born. And it is very thin, light, fluffy, and full of light, just like some cupolas. very pretty.
