I made this at the same time as i made 'Cascade' however did not get to upload it, but i really wanted to so hope u like the subtle change i made.: ) Again credits to Klas for the quality pic. :)
I thought it looked like plastic wrap at first but I guess it's sharpened. I think I agree with Pierre though. ;-) It's like the image got more two dimensional in some parts. Like the leave merged with it self or something (in the right lower corner of the edited area). I don't know if that make sense but it looks odd in some weired way. I really like the rest of the edit except of that corner I think. Damn I'm picky. ^_^
Ah, that's a tough call to decide between them. No, I can't, I like the image to much and this version shows the contrast in detail. If they were going to print I would have to have both on the wall as comparisons. Good work Avi and Klas!
Its actually a very slight colour emboss of the leaf over the original image...i think i like this one more coz to me the centre area looks kinda more realistic.....maybe its just me....but thanx for ur support Pierre, Klas & Darryl
: {D
lol! I took a look on the original image. It's allmost wierd at the spot I saw in your edit. I think you enhanced it but it was allready merged in my shot. I just didn't notice it 'til I looked at it in your version. That's really valuable actually, to get the chance to view my own work in a new light. Thank's Avi for all the great creativity that have come from this collaboration. (More to come I think ;-))
I think this image shows very well how filters can be very effective when used properly, and thoughtfully. I love the texture in the centre portion here. Maybe you should put this image in the "Tutorial" section instead?!?
At first I thought it was just a case of unusual framing, but when I put your image up full screen I realized it was much more. The leaves in the center have a velvety texture that is very attractive. You're obviously thinking outside the box, & if this is the result, I hope you continue to do so. Beautifully done.

Since I didn't see the first version of this, I will comment only on this one. I think the idea is very good, but I would like to have seen the inside framing showing a bit darker on the lighter leaf.I find the faded look of that line on the left just too 'weak'. I would love to see it the same all the way around, but I sure do like this creation. Its a wonderful color and the feeling it gives is really good. This showed up on the main caedes site and so that's why I'm commenting on it...Verena
