A pic i took a few weeks ago when the weather was so sweet, i dont know what the true name for this flower is but i believe it commonly referred to as a red hot poker. hope u like. taken with a canon EOS300D with a macro lens attached. :|)

Yup thats what it is alright...and I LOVE the particular way you took this pic. Its always the same way in photos..and you did somedthing unique..VERY nice! Love those colours..and the way you have some sharp and some hazey....very nicely done!!

out of the wood work he came a-crawling! creeping through the undergowth, swinging from tree to tree! the puzzeling monkey returns! nice to see you back on board dude! i love the amazing focus and lack of focus you get on macro! merging into colourfields! but these plant always make me think of poor old King Lear!

Thanx folks :~), tis been too long since i posted anything, but all the more kicks when i get good comments. i enjoyed taking this pic...looking at it takes me right back to that sweltering hot day.

GREAT. I can keep coming back to the image and somehow getting captivated everytime. I don't wish to add a negative comment, but is the sharpest part of the image sharp enough? Could well be my computer screen... :-) With such an amazing closeup, the analysis is always going to be fine... THANKS !!!
