I've been after a passion fruit flower for ages, they are stunning methinks, in my eyes the busy bee is only busy coz it has no time for sorrow, i would be quite happy if i was hopping from these flowers to another....nice capture, I know its a wee bit difficult to cap busy insects, so good work indeed :~)

An excellent capture of a colourful subject. A shame about the blurred leaf on the left.

actually as a amateur entomologist, thats a fly, not a bee. its just mimicking the bee/wasp coloration to help avoid predators. you can tell because its eyes meet on top of its head, whereas bees have eyes that are seperate. also, another distinguishing feature is the lack of a second pair of wings. still, a very nice image, just thought i'd point out its not a bee.

Well, they sure don't grow flowers that look like that around here. That's cool looking. I'm amazed at the shot. I'm surprised the (bee) fly?? didn't fly away. That's neat-o.

Great capture - I particularly like the way the colours on the fly pick up the yellow and purple shades from the flower. And of course the tremendous detail - very nicely done :-)

Looks like a bee to me -) This is a very good capture with the bee in focus and also the flower. And the colors are just great. Thanks for sharing it.

My 'puter crashed the other day so I'm trying to get my new one up and running. ;-( This new OS (Vista) is going to take some getting used to. Sorry I haven't been commenting as much as I would like to. ;-) Steve
