You should be proud. This shows your time and effort. Normally, I don't care for text images (my preference only), but the way you did this is certainly an exception and just what I needed to hear this evening. I am very curious about the cross and the numbers. Can you share that? Thanks.

The necklace is mine, as are the initials on it (CMC), and, of course, the hand. :-) The numbers are the date that my parents gave it to me -- Christmas, 2002. I'm glad you like it; thanks for the comment!

great image how did u do it??

I took the digital picture and made another copy of it on my computer. I turned one copy into black and white; for the color image, I erased everything except the cross and chain. I then just copied the color cross and chain and pasted it on top of the black and white cross and chain. Not difficult, just time-consuming. (The idea came in part from Schindler's List, which I saw the other night for the first time.) Thanks for the interest in it!

You said you erased everything except the cross and the chain, maybe you could have done it the other way, i think that would have saved you time (i mean cop image, transform one image into B&W, erase the cross and chain on the B&W image). But hey, it turned out very well, very nice as a background!

That is soooo oooooo FriCKIN awesome!!!!!!!! i gave it a 10/10!! I love how the text is from the first chapter of John. When I read that I thought even better I mean that was REALLY creative. I absulotely love it ..the only part that troubles/confuses me is the title "And the Darkness", but great pic.

I just thought of the only way to make this even better, in my opinion, if the little bit of the backround that shows was really cool looking clouds and sky.

The title is just the first half of the text. The only reason I included half of it is because "And the darkness shall not overcome it" is a bit long for a title. =)

As for the space behind the hand, I think the sky would be a nice backdrop, but it would be hard for me to do. I did consider making the space all black.

Great pic! I love the contrast. One thing concerning the background, though (i read the last few comments): the bottom right corner is black and the part showing on the upper left is gray... maybe it should all be the same colour... ?

The level of detail that you can see in the hand is beautiful. And the cross is very nice too!
