Remembering that Caedes is primarily a Desktop and/or Wallpaper site ... I designed this for those who might like birds but prefer an open area for desktop icons. Anything for the membership I always say.

"What a crock! ... the old coot hit the shutter release before the entire bird was in the viewfinder and now he's trying to make lemonade out of a "lemon" ... and appear noble as well. It's enough to turn my stomach"

Don't you just hate a conscience that can't keep it's mouth shut ?

What a super desktop. It's perfect. Nothing for the icons to cover up. I really like the colors. Well done, my friend.

I had to wait until I stopped laughing John to make a comment on this. Even if this was happenstance gone awry it turned out very well none the less. Really nice how the blurred background compliments the reds and browns in this cute little fella that just flew onto my desktop.

Now that the truth is out at least you can sleep well :)
With his stern look and those fiery red feathers he is an imposing figure on my screen flying in from the east and heading towards my frightened icons!

Either way, John, it's a fabulous close up of that finch! I don't care about the icons anyway. You can always hide them. lol

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

A crock is right. You probably forgot how to frame? What wonderful accidental detail on this bird. I know that wasn't intentional but you got it anyway. Not only that, it's even well focused-another slip up. And the colors are wonderful- must have accidentally had your camera settings correct for once. To sum it up, this is a wonderful accidental image. Now shutup and go home. Oh, by the way, my index finger slipped and I accidentally saved it. Bye!
