Yet another BIRD from me!

Chickadees are a favorite of mine. On the move constantly, flitting about willy-nilly, they offer a challenge to a photographer that is often frustrating. Their curiosity however, and acceptance of humans, just as often afford close-up opportunities that offset some of the frustration. When filling feeders I've had these birds land on a shoulder or eat from my hand. Is it any wonder these little guys occupy a warm spot in my heart ?

You must move awfully slow if the birds land on you while you are feeding them. Do you fall asleeps standing? lol Good post Muggsy. I love the angle and I can see why they are a favorite of yours.

Your background really adds to the shot.

Along with all the obvious things like colour and details, I especially like the angle..the bird has such a nice natural stance, put together in a fine composition. Nicely done.

Beautiful fellow, and the color in the background sets him off nicely. Great detail, especially on the feet.

Oooooooooo John!! Now, really, THis little Chicka Dee Dee Dee...is absolutel lovely! We have tons of them around ORegon, and they seem to really like it here where I live in the foothills of the Mountain Range. You captured this birdie so perfectly! Not only are they precious little birds, but I just love how you got the red and gold and green tones behind him. What I like most of all is the way you captuted him perched on that little branch. Just so precious John. Thank yu so much, I will enjoy this little guy and I hope you are doing well. Hugs to you...Verena

The branch and breast of the chickadee look too peach-colored to me. Maybe, it's just my monitor...I don't know. Apart from that, this is a great photo.
