The last capture of Mr. Grasshopper, He is no more; He’s ceased to be, He has chewed his last leaf. He has gone to meet his maker. He’s gone to the great Grasshopper resting place in the sky. But wait!! Lurking in the neighbor’s yard is an army of Grasshoppers, Just waiting for me to let my guard down. It just might be a bit more of a task that me and Mr. Shoe can handle. I might have to call for reinforcements to take on this Daunting task. It looks like it’s time to bring out Mr. Bug sprayer. THE END REST IN PEACES Panasonic DMC FZ7

ohh what a fantstic shot of mr grasshopper! he has some pretty colours, i would still eeekkkk and run away if i saw him for real though hehehe.

I agree with all of the above. Super work. Just how do you get that close without it hopping off? Even with a 300 zoom, I would never be able to get that shot.

Did you get any tobacco juice on your shoe? Are you sure it isn't Rest in Pieces? I must admit he took a nice last photograph. I showed it to the fish in the tank and they went wild. Good post and narrative Ed.

Got this in the VB. First of all a terrific composition. The lines of the legs in perfect harmony with the leaf veins. The colour, clarity and detail are superior. I am not a bug person, but this is going into my save file. Excellent work.

Holy Cow, that is the best macro I have seen lately. Mercy. That Panasonic FZ7 is one whopper of a camera in the right hands. I see more fantastic images from people using that. This is a keeper. Very skilled capture on your part.
