While traveling northbound on U.S. Highway 301 i spotted quite a few of these Bridges along this bike trail. There was once creeks running under these that led to the River. There's just dried up little valleys under them now. This shot was taken while headed about 15 miles north of my usual River location, up by the Green Swamp that feeds the River. Thanks to all for comments and critiques

No alligators creeping in dried up creeks, I suppose. The bit of blue sky showing here adds to the beauty of the general scene. Good capture,Ed.

A really fine angle on the bridge, Ed. I don't recall seeing one of these fashioned out of wood before. I'd love to be on that bike trail. We don't have enough of them around here.

Good composition and colors. I like this bridge - sort of "semi covered" but a nice structure and a pleasing shot.

Nice to see they are making use of their abandoned bridges Huck. I like how they built the wooden railing inside the bridges to keep the bikers safe. They probably didn't want to get sued. Excellent shot and I don't like dentists. but I like good bridge work.

I like the older bridges Ed. I get tired of seeing them replaced with concrete. Nice one. =^..^= sandi ♪

I like the sense of a journey in this, and maybe a sense of nostalgia. The water is gone and the bridge is old...But the greenery surrounding it and the peek at a blue sky hint of adventure too.
