Go figure!! You leave a couple of trees alone for a while on a deserted island. Then you return to find them doing this. I found these two fooling around by the old fort ruins.
Rather unusual, Ed this tree on tree! Jokes aside, it shows the wonders of nature. A seed falls or a bird brings it on a tree stump with a little mud on it and there it grows! Great shot!
I think I flunked the Rorschach test too Huck. Or maybe I passed it, depends on your point of view. I would say there is plenty of wood in those trees to build a huge fire. lol
Great post and you are the Hugh Hefner of the Forest. That must be that old guy who told you about the Amish.
Wonderful thought Ed, I'd rather think they are in love then fighting for space,, I know a Palm but what is that other thing? Thanks for all your nature shots.
LOL!!! Yes I agree a very cool find. But the fact of the matter is that one tree will kill the other tree. The host tree will end up dying. We have these here in Australia in our rain forest. The strangler tree is usually placed there in bird droppings and takes over the tree it is dropped on. I have a photo of a huge fig on the table lands which has done the same thing. I will have to find it and post it. Lyn.
I knew it... you can't turn your back on a tree for a decade without them falling into each others arms like two love-struck teenagers... Great find, Ed!
