I shot one very similar to this in the city of Goiás Velho(in the state of Goiás, Brazil). The rain of only one cloud passed over me(my equipment was safe) and went its way. I waited to the right moment and took the shot of that rain falling in the city in the bellow in the valley.

Neat picture, I have always liked how you can see if its raining far off. It is cool, when it rains the clouds seem to hang over the edge of the horison! This is a perfect photo, ten out of ten!
