This picture was taken in October at the shore of the Arctic Ocean on the North Slope of Alaska. The figures in the foreground are old boats and meat racks, used in days past by the native Eskimo elders of the village. These honored elders have gained invaluable wisdom throughout their years which they have passed down to their children and grandchildren. Many are deeply devoted to the Lord God.

A wonderfully bleak photograph. The bleakness of the scene in contrast with the historical significance of the location. Well done.
