Believe it or not, this is smoke from a chimney. I found it interesting that smoke could pick up color. The lines in the sky are power lines. I hope you like this. Please give honest comments; I appreciate all critiques to help improve my photography.

How short is each of our lives when compared to eternity. "Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away." (James 4;14, KJB) I ask you one question, where will your eternity be spent? God's simple plan of salvation --it's a free gift!

Hey Naomi,
I love the vapor, its color is great,
I also like the color in the sky, Very deep and full blue at the top,
The power lines add something extra, I like those too,
My only wish is for the vapor to be bigger, so that a third or a fourth of the image is vapor.
In My favorites!

Thanks for sharing

I agree the color of the vapor is really nice. And those powerlines are essential for the composition. You did well with this :)

I'm gonna have to go no on this one, sorry. I like the minimalistic framing though!! Other than that the subject seems over taken by the power lines and we maybe could stand to see a wee more of where the vapor is coming from.

Keep'em coming as we always wanna see more!! 8~)

This is like an abstract taken from real life. I love the colourful little cloud. Good eyesight.

I'd have to agree with Hottrockin, it appears to be overpowered by the powerline, maybe sidebars that were more similar in color to the smoke would fix that?

An unusual presentation. The smoke vapor is such a unique color - I've never seen any like that - just wish it was larger. The power lines are overpowering and distract ones eyes from the main subject. I like the simple frame work - maybe you could try a pink shade similiar to the smoke. I appreciate your work Naomi and hope you do more soon :))

I need to catch up on things so can't comment too much. But I love all of your fine images :)
