Like the idea. and the removal or omitting of the boys shoes is a nice touch. I think if you had the skills, this piece could be turned into a fantastic image. Instead of block colouring and plain lines.

I agree that the simple look is good. It adds to the simple message you are giving.

I like this and I know many a teenage boy resembled in your image. However, not necessarily loners. I think the image would appeal more to both sides of that coin without the words.

The reason i specify loners is that it's a topic close to me and my friends, and I assumed that people who have seen people who are different and are alone can't assume that they're unable to be approached. I understand where you're coming from though.

I hope you will add the title "The Straggler" to the image so that it will appear on the desktop. If it were placed directly below the image, very bold, displacing the caption downward, and if the caption were rendered in a lighter gray and smaller font than the title the overall impact would be increased.

This image should be licensed for imprint on teeshirts and sweatshirts. You might pick up some change and the message would get much deserved real-world exposure.

Very detailed...and anybody who can do this, has SKILL and talent! The message behind it is also good....and I agree. It's always so easy to judge people without giving them a chance. People seem to like to assume the worst in others...
