How I wish I were a bee so I could pollenate that flower... it's soooooo pretty! I think it's a lily... not sure what type. Never seen one quite that red either... thanks for sharing it!

Nigel, the colors in your capture are rich and eye-catching in themselves, without counting the clarity and composition. What you're calling "messy" really adds to the natural beauty of a (probable) Lily in a garden. Nice work! - Patty
It's gorgeous! I love the soft colors... awesome job :) I'm pretty sure it's a Tiger Lily. I work at a greenhouse and we have them in all different shades, not just orange... I love it, it's beatiful :)

Ya know, I think this pretty flower is an Asiatic Lily. It dosen't seem to be a Tiger Lily because it dosen't have stripes. Anywho, this is a very nice shot and I'm glad you posted it. ^_^
She knows the voices in her mind, they tell her to leave.
She's tired of smiling madly,
until silence becomes very silently a noise in her mind.
After all she has nothing inside, no good to give no meaning to live. The mist engulfed tonight, every single star. - Delerium
Wish the front petals were more focused and a clearer focal point - should be the pistil of the main flower but my eye sort of gets dragged to the bud on the far left instead. Nice bright reds though!
Definately some variety from the Lily family Nigel. This is beautiful, and I don't think it's that messy. Makes me feel like I'm a bee on my way there to pollenate. That flower has such a deep colour, and I like the fuzz on the unopened buds. Another great shot for your gallery!
It's lovely Nigel and in the Lily family and not messy. It's about to be completely open so appears very full. The color is gorgeous. What a capture. Thanks
