Can't always give individual thanks but I am so appreciative of everyone's comments and input. I truly enjoy seeing all of your posts and am always happy to see you at My Gallery. Thanks, Anita
Flower is beautiful. Lighting is lovely. Background is nicely blurred with great contrast. The dead flower below should have been removed before shooting. It could still be cloned out, eh? I would also have put the subject in the right side of the frame for better composition or crop close to center the subject. Not up to your usual brilliance Nigel. Where have you been? Nice to see your work posted again. Blessings, anne :-)
Don't tell me it's good, tell me what is good about it. Don't tell me it stinks, tell me what I can do do improve it. Thank you for taking the time to tell me anything at all. Be blessed. anne :-)
I love the focus here - the colour of the flower really grabs me too. I agree that the dead flower probably should have been removed for an alternate shot, cloning it out os a big ask though. with the composition, it would seem ::colocolor would like to see a version with the flower on the right. If the photo was flipped horizontally (reversed) in a program this would be possible. I too would be interested to see the results. I think that this is still a pretty darn good shot.. i never get a focus that good in my flower images.
I like this one usually the flower is the only good part in the image but here the leaves are also worth looking. I love especially the one newt to the flower on the right side ^_^ The colours are good. Bright enough. Only thing to complain about is that withered flower. It's stealing the attention.
I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings:
And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill.
That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes.
We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not.
Yet so the universe was wrought .
Thought is another name for fate.
Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.
