Nigel, I really like the whole presentation of this image. The flower is sharp and detailed and the background while adding color and interest is out of focus. That leaves us with the true subject free and clear.
This is a real top drawer image. (The best of the best)
Please know that I enjoy your work even though I don't always get to comment. I try to look at (and enjoy) all your new posts and always appreciate the time you take to stop in at my gallery as well. Have a happy day ;) Anita
Putting your pictures in my favorites is the highest honor I can give you. If I do not get to your pictures as soon as you post them, I apologize. I try. Also if I do not respond for awhile it doesn't mean I'm ignoring you, it just means I'm really tied up with life.
You have really shown off the loveliness of this beautiful flower. It might be a Cosmos right? Not sure tho..but I love how you presented it towards the left side and then filled the rest of the frame with that lush green. The clarity is just magnificient. What kind of camera did you use? Verena
I agree with all that was said in the first image.. i suppose the only problem was not your fault at all - the subject flower had an awkward petal arrangement which looks a bit strange.
great shot though.
That is beautiful! I love how you've set the flower off to the side. Those colors are so gorgeous together and have a wonderful contrast. VERY nice job!
