Yes, but they could be hen birds couldn't they? Beautiful clear shot of a lovely intimate group of whatever they are. They show up so well against the black background.
*You will have noticed that I haven't been commenting as much on your fine images!..This is because of the pains in my hands!..the constant use of the keyboard, makes this difficult..so, my dear friends..I can only apologise to you all in advance!*

It's your picture, you can call them hens if you want. Anyway, this is a very nice picture of these chickens. It's my comment, I can call them what I want. LOL. Seriously, you have captured them well. Good work, Nigel.
Well, you're forgiven the politically incorrect title only because of the great shot you've set up here. Love the angle of the railing and its faint echo in the background and the sun totally captured in the "vee" and soaked up by the birds. Excellent clarity makes this a really fine image.

I'd say one hen and five men. I'll let you guess which is the hen. Uh oh, I can see the hate mail now. Just remember it was Nigel that took this great photo.

hheheh lol at Tick! if hes right and thats a lady "hen" , i see the guys are sitting around taking no notice whatsoever as per usual :-) nice shot, gave me a giggle nigel!
Composure - 10/10. Love the darkness framing the subject, superb clarity and I just love the way each bird has a different expression, which to me, puts this picture in a class of its own. Top stuff Nigel!
Talk about a clear group of birds! You just can capture so beautifully! Not the birds...but the scene.lol The one bird seems to be saying "Look out there girls!! It's freedom and lots of food! Let's go!" I love how sweet this photo is. Verena
