This photo kind of brings my last few posts together. It's Butler's Wharf again with the paddle steamer Dixie Queen moored in front, looking east down the Thames. Taken from Tower Bridge just after dawn in the spring sunshine.
I can smell the river air. I can feel the soft morning breeze. I correct my stand to move with the soft rolling back and forth aboard the Dixie Queen. You picture takes me into your world at the very moment your shutter clicked.
The government of tyrants cannot last long because it is hateful to the multitude, and what is against the wishes of the multitude cannot long be preserved.

I'd love to hear a Redneck English accent Sir Nigel. There has to be one with the Dixie Queen. That building is huge because the Dixie Queen is no small potato. I like how the Wharf and buildings frame the right side of the photo. Forces you to look out to sea. Great post and should be cow proof.
I like the angle of this shot, Nigel. What I wouldn't give to visit England some day. My Dad was born in London. Tower Bridge is something I would love to see. This view from it is fantastic. Is the Dixie Queen a gambling boat?
You've done such a good job with this series, and I love the scope of this upload, as has been said, but I still think my fave of all is Butler's Wharf
As matter of fact, I still have it up as a desktop.

i love the details you captured in the buildings, and i love the dawn light too. butlers wharf is my favourite too, but the cow index for that, whats that about?! sheesh.
Nigel, I love the way the land in the distance gives the continued appearance of the building, and then curves out of the picture. Great detail captured here too, those words on the building are really crisp. Nice lighting too.
