i love the angle you took this one from, i wish i had not been so lazy and walked to the bottom of the hill for a shot like this. the viaduct was huge, and from this angle you get a good idea of the size and depth of the arches, if that makes sense! lol.
Super angle mate...and an exceptional shot too!....Hark at Jan being too lazy to walk down that 'tiny' hill!!!...That why she gave you her camera then?...lol...
Nice lines on this Nigel..and...and great colours for the kind of day it was!!!!..
Great shot Nigel, love the overall curve of the picture, and would I be right in thinking you were quite low to the ground when you took this? This angle gives a great sense of perspective to this picture, great work.

Love the perspective you chose Sir Nigel. I'm getting Viaduct envy. The colors are great. It is amazing how so many different angles say so many different things. All of you did marvelous depiction of this viaduct. There is a lesson to be learned. Great post.
Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

Nice angled shot Nigel, but you are going to hate me - I think the viaduct looks tilted slightly .....but this can easily be corrected in Photoshop - try the transform/skew and pull it over at the top left and it will bring it back in line ....otherwise I just love it! hmmmmm :) smiling sweetly - will that work? lol!

Hmmm... this looks familiar :) heh heh, I really like your version of this Nigel but I think Patti might be right about it being a little tilted. I wouldn't have noticed if she hadn't mentioned it though :) And what? You didn't change the sky? hee hee :) It sure was fun tromping around down there!

Excellent detail and DOF, Nigel, I love the full sweeping curve of the top line. I think Patti might be right, though. It does have a bit of a tilt backwards more noticible in the larger sizes. Still, a fab photo!

Well, one my most favorite things in architecture are arches. And you brought this right in. I love the curve and the mood of the whole photo. That 'gnarly' tree in front and the way the viaduct goes right on at the right side of the shot is just fantastic...bravo Nigel bravo. Verena
