This is my version of the Monsal Head waterfall, taken last weekend with Jan and Patti. It's a composite of three images. I couldn't stop thinking it looked like a chocolate cake when I was taking it - can you see it? Tech talk for Tick: Samsung GX-10, tripod, Schneider-Kreuznach 18-55mm lens at 18-20mm, ISO 100, Aperture mode, aperture f22, shutter speed 0.7 - 3.0 sec, ND8 and circular polariser filters, Matrix metering.

Mighty Fine Nigel.
But even with a Three Shot Composite I think Jan's Shot is a Wee Bit Better.
She made me say that !

Yeh, I can see that Chocolate Cake thing going on here.
Well Thanks for sharing, gotta go now, your image has given me the Munchies. LOL.

Great shot. I think pics of waterfalls look much cooler at very slow shutter speeds then in actual 'freeze-frame' appearance. The composite was well done and I can see what you mean about the chocolate cake since it looks like a slice has been taken out of the front-center area. At first glance it appeared to be in B&W but when looked a little closer the greens, browns and yellows of the trees were visible. **It just frustrates me that I forgot my ND filter at home this fall when I went on vacation. With all the waterfalls I saw, the ND was that one piece of equipment that "you just can't do without".

Can I see it? I have it all over my face. Monsal and Gretel led you to such a great spot to show your skills. I don't understand the 0.7-3.0 sec shutter speed but I will find out.

The Tick Teck Talk is very helpful and informative. This goes well with what I like to call Orson Wells Vintage.

There are lots of waterfalls posted on this site. This one stands out for some reason. Maybe it's because it is so "up close and in your face". Wish there was more color to it. Keeper.
