What a great shot this is! Nice and clear with good comp. and he was doing a poise for you. How cool is that! Very good on the details N.
Good one and I'm not bored at all. =^..^= sandi ♪
Alright pupils! Quiet please! Today we are going to learn the pythagorean theorem. Look at this picture... if the top of the pelican head is point A, if the bottom of his neck is point B and if is peck is point C we can then say BC²+AC²=AB² !
... anyway, great composition here with both birds, nice pose, clear details and unusual subject. It rocks better than Maths class.

Can Sir Shrek take a great photo of a pelican. You bet like helican. Great work. I find the other bird distracting. I don't think it needed to be in the photo. Just my humble opinion.

Or he's looking to see where he's been. lol You got an awww and a chuckle from me on this one. I'm not sure how I feel about the other bird. He is kind of balancing and makes us aware of the watery surroundings and habitat the pelican is in and he seems indifferent to the dilemma of the bigger bird which adds to the light heartedness of this wonderful post.
It is an amazing photo Sir Nigel. Your detail and craftmanship is extraordinary. I question whether the second bird is necessary or not. Have you tried a version without it? Either way, another masterpiece from you.
This is a wonderful capture in every way. Love the details and the wonderful pose. Also the dark background adds to the mood in this photo. Excellent work! Saved and Faved!

I really like the overall elegance pictured here. Your timing was impeccable as usual. I have to say tho I can't decide on the inclusion of the other bird. It is quite distracting to my eye. The quality of the main subject is superb and the post work darkening certainly adds to the overall clarity. Most deserving of the score.
Now who took down my comment on this great upload? LOL...I'm losing it, Sir Nigel. I thought for sure I had written down what I had composed in my head. Maybe you got it telepathically? No mind. That's it. I'm losing what little I had. Perhaps this guy will be able to "root" it out.

This is wonderful Nigel. I think it's its scruffiness that I'm really attracted to (Delia says it's the opposite of magnets, in this case similar things attract. That's why I like the bird she says!). The way you've caught it in the middle of this awkward act is fabulous. I also really like the indifference displayed by the gull.
