You can see it in his eyes. Or at least I thought I could. Taken at Colchester Zoo with Jan last Sunday. Tech Talk Samsung GX-10, Sigma 70-300mm at 133mm, ISO 400, 1/125s, Aperture Mode at f4.0.

The truth is, you really should see My Gallery.
Was this photo taken in London, Jack? I mean Sir Nigel. You really have something to howl about with this photo. It is really good. I can see the longing in the eyes as well.

So many have said how good this is and I must add my voice to theirs. I have seen your work for more than a year now, and this is the finest piece I have seen so far. You leave me wondering what greatness is yet to come!
That aperture really helped isolate his beautiful face from the darkened background. I can't imagine this was easy to accomplish with the lighting, but you did anyway steeping him into his mysterious, dark world. His eyes are beautiful. A really nice capture, Nigel.
None of the ideas expressed above are actually mine. They are told to me by Luthor and Ferdinand, the five inch tall space aliens who live under my desk. In return for these ideas, I have given them permission to eat any dust bunnies they may find under there.
This is a very great and wonderful picture it almost looks like he is out in the wild looking for some food or even just looking out into the wild. Faved!

Great use of focus to isolate on the face. I like the use of the overall dark background (and subject) to enhances the powerfull feeling we get from this predator's stare. Well done! (and thanks for the equipment and exposure details)
