This is probably the last one I'll post of Kimmeridge Bay in Dorset. At about 9 in the evening the mist started rolling in and, combined with the sunset, it made some lovely effects in the sky. Apologies for the two attempts at posting this one, it was hard to get the horizon right!

There's a bleak but beautiful quality to this photograph which seems far removed from the 21st century. The clouds seem to be congregating together at one point.

Nice work Sir

Beautiful colour, fabulous sky and great comp Nigel, but what really does it for me is the way the eye is being drawn by everything to the middle of the picture.

Hi Nigel..I sure hope you got to sit on one of these rocks and take in that lovely pastel sunset! It would have been so quiet, and then to "hear" the shhhhhhhh of the sun sinking into the sea! :) That water being still like a sheet of glass, how very awesome it looks! I would say that's a pale peach colour going up into the soft lavender. Just beautiful. the whole scene is perfect. Thanx my friend.Verena

I'm very pleased with myself because I can now spot one of your pics just from the little thumbnails, before opening and seeing who it is actually from :-) Your repeatedly producing very high standard images with your own unique style that are always enjoyable to watch. Imitation is the highest form of flattery.....watch this space.....one day......one day!! :)

Dreamy! Seems very other worldly for me! Love the muted colors and tones. The colored rolling mist is icing on the cake. Moody solitary atmosphere. Saved!
