The delicate patterns of erosion are phenomenal at Bryce. What's even better is to hike down into them and look up.

I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings: And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill. That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes. We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not. Yet so the universe was wrought . Thought is another name for fate. Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.

A great landscape picture - this vista has real scope to it.

Occasionally when searching the net for stuff on Bryce (the 3D program) I have found instead references to Bryce (the place). Given that default Bryce textures include the classic erosion-banding pattern amongst others, I wonder if the program was named after this place.

I like seeing them from the top like this. They are eroded from every angle out of the valley. It's hard to picture the water flowing down from the back and straight in on the left. I especially like the back row with the holes worn in them.

Wow, I thought this was a manipulated picture. Are the colors really like that? Amazing capture and composition. Great Job!

Spectacular formations, and not so easy to photograph, but you did an excellent job of balancing scale with detail in how you framed the shot. Makes me want to get back out west again!

Bryce is a wonderful and ancient place. You have done well on capturing the colors. I can hear the winds whispering in the canyons.
