OH MY! you know Stanley was one of the sweetest places in Idaho! We spent the night there in a little log cabin about 8 feet from the river....it was sooooooooo beautiful! Across the river there was acres of ELK!! grazing...that part of Idaho is absolutely fantastic and you captured it SOOO WELL!! Thank yu so much for this posting!! I also had the best fresh caught trout for breakfast there in a tiny local restaurant!! Mmmmm!! Beautiful photo!!!

Beautiful landscape Nathan...the exposure is spot on and the shadows across the ground create that great depth. Good eyes:-)

The beer urges me on, the bewitching beer, which sets even a wise man to singing and to laughing gently and rouses him up to dance and brings forth words which were better unspoken. Homer, The Odyssey (note: beer substituted for wine)

Between you and fotobob I am being tourtured by images that I used to live around. Idaho is farther north than I have been but not farther north than I'd be willing to go. This is a nice shot Natan.

Thanks to all of you. I'm pleased you liked the photo. If any of you want to see more pictures of that area, look through the earliest pages in my gallery. There are quite a few of them there. It is so nice of you to take time to comment. Have a great day.

Nathan, I love this. You CAN do something new <grin>. I gave it a 10 in the voting booth so it should count.

This photo gives such a feeling of openess (to me anyway) and the framing perfectly compliments this.
