Gorgeous colours... when i was in Vanautu.. i bought a sarong from the local markets .. and it is the exact colour of this.... great work.. love the framing... :D

Thanks for the kind comments, everyone. Jacqueline, that's cool - there is actually cloth like this? One of the things I did for my living room was buy a beautifully colored batik cloth, then built a 5' x 3' pine frame, and stretched the cloth over the frame, stapling it on the back to hold it in place. It makes a colorful wall hanging.

Being a child of the 60's and 70's ... I discovered Batik at a craft show back "then" ... we bought t-shirts and asked how it was done ... then raced home to put the guy out of business with our own offerings.
Being young, I was amused with simple things, and I drew a smiley face with the carefully chosen "Hi" below it in the center .. and then adorned the empty areas with circular designs
When it was done ... it said ... OHIO
the guy is probably still in the t-shirt business ... where as, I am not
