This is a 2-shot panoramic view I took last week in central Idaho. I was out on an evening walk with my wife on the Smiley Creek road. Thunderheads were forming in the distance, which created a rather dramatic photo.
Yes its definitely dramatic. The lighting is great, I love it. How lucky you are to have a fine place like this for an evening walk! Great capture, love the frame as well.
Terrific lighting here and beautiful expanse to look at. I envy you these walks. This is a fine photo and great post. Thanks for sharing this beauty. TYU ;)
All the wonders you seek are within yourself. Always glad to see visitors at My Gallery and thanks for your continued kind words and constant support. Anita
Whoa! I love that threatening cloud!, did it get you?
Brilliant panorama image Nathan, super colours to this....the frame works perfect with this........
Good job on this one too Nathan, this looks like a very relaxing and beautiful place to get away from the rat race for awhile. Thanks my friend for sharing this.
This one is a grand steal of a shot for sure!! Seems a wee over-punched though. I'm still maulin' over the framing....I like it, I'm not sure, I like it, etc....
Picture Purrrfect .
A purrrfect world is what we all want, but, seems too unobtainable. If I've viewed and commented on your post, and you liked my remarks then NO THANKS is needed...just getting to see your wonderful work is thanks enough for me!!
Also BIG thanks to all who check out my work!! I appreciate any and all comments & feedback!!
Thank you. I found that doing the stitching by hand in Photoshop allowed me much more control over making a seamless stitch than any "automatic" program. Photoshop's own Photo Merge command does a terrible job most of the time. I appreciate all the kind comments, everyone. With such a beautiful place as this, one doesn't have to be a great photographer to take a good shot. :)
Another one for my faves Nathan ! Such an incredible vista ! Those clouds remind me of a diva on stage ... knowing she has the audience in the palm of her hand. Magnificent.
Another gorgeously clear photo... and that cloud formation is WILD ... almost looks like a tornado in the making .... really makes the calmness of its surroundings stand out. Awesome catch!
Hello Nathan. Your photo was featured on the home page when I logged in tonight. I was instantly drawn to it. It is a great shot. It's brimming over with atmosphere - both literally and figuratively! I am fascinated by all the Caedes artists who submit these USA 'big country' photos. But, this and others from you are easily amongst the best for me. I also really like the style of bordering - it's unique texture compliments the photo very well. A very likeable photograph. Well done.
Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.
