Taken August 2006, looking west from Obsidian, Idaho. The property just on the other side of the fence used to belong to my wife and I until the federal government condemned it, forcing us to sell it to them so they could include it in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area. Otherwise, I'd have a summer home right here. :)

What a beautiful place to have a summer home. I guess what happened is called Eminent Domain? The feds always get what they want and stop at nothing to get it.

Never rebuke while you’re still indignant about a fault committed—wait until the next day, or even longer. Then calmly, and with a purer intention, make your reprimand. You’ll gain more by a friendly word than by a three-hour quarrel. -Josemaria Escriva

Having looked at your photograph I can wholly understand why the location you took this shot is call 'Sawtooth'. This a great 'big country' photograph, of a 'National Geographic' quality. The whole horizon looks amazing. I am sure you must have had a great day photography this awesome looking location. Good work.

Beautiful setting, terrific capture. Very refreshing. It really takes the viewer "away" for a bit. Thanks for posting it. A good mini-mind vacation. Sorry about your loss, however. Hopefully you were WELL compensated.

This is an excellent view of the sawtooth mountains. I like the way you have taken the image from behind the fence and using it to give you depth. I love the cloud formations in this image too. Excellent work
