My camera doesn't do too well in low light settings. I've got to get a better one. It pushes the pixels too hard in in the dark areas.

Such an interesting capture! It almost looks like the sky is a movie screen where a fantastic show is playing out. Love the different angles and lighting in this one.

I have the same trouble with my camera. It was good enough three years ago but now it's not cutting it. The CCDs do deteriorate some I've heard. You have some lovely scenery to shoot some serious photos of though, that I lack. ;) Very nice capture here.

Of course we do enjoy. The sky is definitely the hero! It is so dramatic. As to the pushed pixels maybe you should try HDR shooting...

Nevertheless, that cloud cover makes one awesome sky Nathan, and all the more dramatic with those dark mountains and foreground in the scene...good job.:Pat.

Beautiful image Nathan. I love clouds and sky. Can only say, don't get wet, or is it only an empty promise.

The name ChuPat is derived from my nickname Chuck and my wife of 34 years name Patti. Her photography will appear on Caedes as well from time to time. I consider myself an advanced amature not anyway close to being a professional. I have just taken photography more seriously since I have switched to digital. My profession has always been associated with pohtography in one way or another. Any criticism I receive will be well appreciated.

Awesome shot ... I like how the pretty fluffy clouds look like they are exiting stage left as the storm filled ones move in.

You say that your camera pushes the pixels too hard in the darker areas. Personally, I think it looks great. The contrast is great and the image isn't too blurry or too sharp. Great job

You remember the great fire from 1979 that supposedly started in your garage where that chipmunk ingested some fertilizer and fell into a can of kerosene, instantly turning into a flying little fluffy little molotov cocktail that set a blaze leveling the whole neighborhood west of Newton's Hardware Store?
