A friend of mine on DeviantArt, Eric Webb, asked if I would be willing to do a collaboration piece with him, based on his image The Star Jewel. This is version 2. We hope you enjoy both of them. There is a widescreen (1920x1200) version of this too.

I don't think I could choose between them, though when I saw them in thumbnail view, I preferred the darker one. Now looking full-size, the light does seem like a true morning kind of light source...and so realistic. It's stunning!

PS: If you have seen or plan to see "THE NATIVITY" { I saw it last night}, the Wise Men had this deep water well kinda thingie..that the stars above reflected in, and your image reminds me of that a bit...
