I am preparing to do a webinar on how I create my artwork (see my latest journal entry at DeviantArt - http://nmsmith.deviantart.com). So I created this piece that I'll demonstrate in the webinar. Hope you enjoy.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "Digital Art Summit hosting Nathan Smith webinar"

"Hi everyone,

Tim ONeill, creator of Digital Paint Magazine [link] , has asked me to do a webinar on how I use Photoshop to create my artwork.

The Digital Art Webinar will be on September 29th 7pm to 9pm CST - but if you cannot attend during that time, the session will be recorded, and your purchase will allow you access to that.

If you're interested, please visit [link]

If you have any questions about the webinar and how it works, you can email Tim at tim@digitalpaintmagazine.com

This is a first for me, so I have a little bit of stage fright going on here. :)

Sincerely,
Nathan Smith"

First, congratulations on this wonderful opportunity, Nathan.

It must be a good good feeling to have been asked, and in turn ... share your knowledge with others. That.. is priceless to my mind.

Now then, and back to your piece here..

Particularly like the colour palette of the background flame. Rich and vibrant. Complements the impressive metalwork very well.

And a rather nice touch, differentiating the two sides/halves with what appears to my eyes as more 'silvery' on the left.

Wishing you great success in this endeavour, and thanks for sharing your talents with us here. :o)

Best of luck to you in your seminar. I wish I could be there. I like this piece especially for the smooth transitions from solid metal/wire to the feathered bits connected to them. The gems, of course are your specialty, but the blending of mediums here are seamless. Awesome work and a well deserved congratulations on your webinar. -Mike

For some reason, this reminds me of an artistic representation of a native dream catcher. Very beautiful.
