Zion National Park is such a beautiful place to visit - anytime of the day. I took this shot about 3:30 in the afternoon on December 30, 2011. I'm running a new camera through its paces - a Cannon ELPH 300HS point-n-shoot. I wanted something I could carry with me at all times. This camera is pretty good at both photos and video. Although I wish it were larger and more horizontal, I'm sure you won't mind if I pull a copy to place on a black rectangle so it fits my screen (the black might even make it pop more). That color on the stained rocks and the diminishing light toward the bottom is exceptional.

WOW, what a view. Now that would be a hard wall to scale. Truly breath taking colours and view

Nathan - This is outstanding. Kudos! (I got the same camera for my son, with an underwater case, as he is going to the Caribbean on a trip. After I give it to him, I will show him this beautiful image so he knows what is possible with the camera.) Thad

If I could tell the story in words, I wouldn't need to lug around a camera. ~Lewis Hine The Earth without art is just 'eh'.
