If my wife and I were to pick a favorite place on Earth, it would probably be Bryce Canyon National Park. This past weekend we visited it once again, and it was a beautiful autumn day. This shot was taken just after sunrise - at Sunrise Point (appropriately named).

Spend a few minutes each day being grateful for what you have and who you have to share it with.
Bryce Canyon is on my bucket list of places to see, like Pueblo Bonito in New Mexico, and photos like this one keep utching me to go. I'm just at a loss, though, to understand what it's doing in the Lonely Images file. The membership should be all over it like ketchup on fries. I'm amazed at how you've balanced the bright sunlit surface on the left and the shadowed features on the right. Mine usually either burn out or fill in to the point where at places like this all I can do is stand there, absorb it's beauty, and realize there's no point in taking a photo because I know it won't turn out like this.
