Very, very pretty. It's an interesting flower and the colors and textures make for nice contrasts. I've enjoyed all in this series.

How on Earth did I miss this one??? It is absolutely stunning work - such clarity and perfection of colour! Pasque Flower has been my Favourite all my life - but this Photo is the best of all! Thank you for sharing with us such marvel

Hello Rene, I found this during a random search. As with Anawhisp Pulsatilla is one of my favourite genus'. I grow a few with other alpine plants in my rock garden. I assume this is P. patens as this and P. occidentalis are the only two species in N American continent. I have a similar pic of P vulgaris, now a rare species in UK, in my gallery if you are interested. I love this shot as you've captured perfectly the fine silky hairiness which is characteristic of these species. With just a hint of the golden stamens to tease us.
Lovely composition.
I love the other two in this series also. Do they really get that blue? I thought they stayed purple, if so they are stunning.
